PreRegistration Information for Juniors and Seniors
During preregistration for Fall and Spring Semesters, the preregistration process includes a special step that requires the careful attention of Junior and Senior students in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
This extra step in the registration process assists us in carefully monitoring prerequisites and corequisites for MAE coursework. During preregistration, you are expected to:
- Complete the appropriate Prerequisite Confirmation Form (see below).
- Submit it to Ms. Donna George (311 Furnas).
Please notice that students who complete preregistration without submission of a Prerequisite Confirmation Form will not have their MAE course schedule finalized and will be administratively dropped from MAE courses at the Junior and Senior level. Also - preregistration each semester includes "gatekeeper" courses in which registration is restricted to students who have completed the Prerequisite Confirmation Form. For MAE Juniors, these courses are MAE 335 (Fall) and MAE 336 (Spring). For Seniors, these courses are MAE 451 (Fall), MAE 424 (Fall for AE), MAE 494 (Spring for ME) and MAE 416 (Spring for AE). Donna George will force-register students into these courses once their Prerequisite Confirmation Form is received in 311 Furnas. You cannot register into these gatekeeper courses through the normal registration process.
Please note that you should register for all of
your other MAE courses in the normal way.
